A PRAYER: LORD, POUR OUT MORE OF YOUR GLORY

Though darkness may be increasing upon the earth, Christ’s light is flooding out the dark forces in the lives of those who are fully yielded to Him. Our level of experiencing God’s light and glory is dependent upon how spiritually hungry we are. We can either spend our lives craving the things of this present world or we can wholeheartedly seek after Christ and experience His glory in unimaginable ways.

The glory of the Lord is not easily defined. To me, it’s HEAVEN touching the earth. It’s the splendor and magnificence of God’s presence tangibly felt in a powerful way.

After spending time in communion with Christ and surrendering to the sanctification process, He began pouring His glory upon my life in an unprecedented way. He has filled my heart with compassion for those trapped in darkness. Every soul is in need of the glory of God to overpower the dark shadows.

My prayer is that every person who is longing for redemption and seeking to know Christ on a deeper level will catch some of the glory that’s being poured out by God. There is nothing that God’s power and glory cannot remedy. As we turn away from the darkness and fall into the arms of our Creator, we can arise, shine, and rest in the glory of Christ’s light eternally.

“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but the Lord will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.” Isaiah 60:1-3

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your goodness and grace. Thank You for loving us deeper than we can comprehend. Please sanctify us daily and pour more of Your glory upon us. Wash away our fears and give us the courage to shine brighter than we ever have before. Let us rise up and bring light into the darkest places of the world. Let Your perfect will be done in our lives on EARTH as it is in HEAVEN. I pray in Christ’s name. Amen.

A PRAYER FOR MEMORIAL DAY

Our hearts are filled with gratitude for the brave souls who have given the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom. Let’s pray and thank God for all the great men and women who have served and died while protecting our country.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the men and women who have given the greatest sacrifice to protect our freedom. With gratitude, we remember and honor the brave souls who lost their lives. I ask You to comfort and encourage those who have lost loved ones in the battlefields. Wrap Your loving arms around them and fill them with peace. Bless and protect the service men and women who are risking their lives to serve our country. Keep them in the shadow of Your wings today and always. I pray in Christ’s name. Amen.

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER: PRAY GOD’S GLORY ACROSS THE EARTH

It’s the NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER in America, and the theme of the year is to pray for God’s glory to be released across the earth.

The glory of the Lord is the manifestation of His presence; it’s HEAVEN touching the earth. Every soul in the world is in need of God’s glory.

Though darkness may be increasing upon the earth, the glory of God is being poured out in an unprecedented way. The light of Christ is flooding out the dark forces in the lives of those who are fully yielded to Him. Our level of experiencing God’s light and glory is dependent upon how spiritually hungry we are. We can either spend our lives craving the things of this present world or we can wholeheartedly seek after Christ and experience His glory in unimaginable ways.

My prayer is that every person who is longing for redemption and seeking to know Christ on a deeper level will catch some of the glory that’s being poured out by God.  As God’s people arise and shine in the midst of darkness, nations will be changed by the brightness of His glory.

Our Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your marvelous glory and light. I praise You for what You are doing on the earth. I ask You to release Your glory and let it permeate the body of Christ around the world. Release unprecedented amounts of Your glory across the earth and let countless lives be transformed. Let Your glory bring millions of people to their knees and let them run into your arms. Let Your glory overpower the darkness that has tried to invade the lives of Your people. Help the CHURCH stand strong and make a bold statement for the world to see. Let us be courageous and mighty people—ones who carry Your glory and bring light to the world. Let nations be changed by the brightness of our rising and let Your glory continue to increase in our world until the day of Christ’s return. I pray in Christ’s name. Amen.

5 PRAYERS TO PRAY DURING THE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK

Our world is in desperate need of fervent prayer. Many people are in turmoil right now, but Christ will make a way through every crisis we ever face in this life as we release our burdens to Him. Now is the time to rise up in faith and pray more boldly than ever before.

With the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus around the world, our prayers are needed desperately. There is no reason to fear when we have Christ as our anchor.

As we cling to Christ and pray, He will rescue us.

Christ is always working things out behind the scenes, long before we can see any evidence of His solutions. The Bible says that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). Jesus said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God (Matthew 19:26).”

Christ is the calm in every storm. He gives perfect peace and rest in the soul. He performs miracles and restores lives. He is the SAVIOR and the HOPE of the world. He is mightier than the coronavirus and He brings beauty to replace sorrow. Jesus will make a way through these days of battling this pandemic as we cry out to Him and fully depend on His strength.

This is perhaps the most urgent time of our generation to pray without ceasing. Please join me in praying passionately and fervently in the days ahead. It is very powerful when we stand in faith together, so I hope you will pray together with your family.

 

A Prayer for Peace

LORD,

Thank You for Your peace that surpasses all understanding. I ask You to guard our hearts and minds continually with Christ’s perfect peace. Let us release our burdens to You and wait expectantly for new miracles. Let us take hold of all that You came to the earth to give us. Let us look to You and trust You wholeheartedly to carry us through every trial and every crisis. Help every believer in Christ to turn away from fear and rest in knowing that You do impossible things. Help us to walk in strong faith and trust You to rescue our world from the current pandemic. I pray in Christ’s name. Amen.

And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:9

 

A Prayer for Protection

LORD,

Thank You for walking with us through every trial and bringing forth miracles when our circumstances seem impossible. Thank You for being our shield and protector. I ask You to surround our families with an army of angels and protect us from illness. Protect us by the power of Your blood and keep us in the shadow of Your wings. Let us be keenly aware of Your love and presence every day. Help us to rest in You and know that You watch over us as we trust You. Increase our faith and help us to release our burdens to You moment by moment. I pray in Christ’s name. Amen.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust!” For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark. You will not be afraid of the terror by night, or of the arrow that flies by day; of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, or of the destruction that lays waste at noon. Psalm 91:1-6

 

A Prayer for Healing

LORD,

Thank You for Your constant love and healing power. I ask You to bless and heal the ones who are sick. I decree the blood of Christ over all the people who are sick with the coronavirus or any other illness. I ask You to touch them with Your healing hands and bring an end to their suffering.  I pray in Christ’s name. Amen.

Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. James 5:14-15

 

A Prayer for Those Who are Mourning

LORD,

Thank You for being close to those who are brokenhearted. Draw near to those who are walking through the pain of losing a loved one. Comfort the ones who are crushed in spirit. Let those who are grieving feel Your compassion and love. Surround the grieving people with Your presence and peace. I pray in Christ’s name. Amen.

The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18

 

A Prayer for Medical Breakthroughs

LORD,

Thank You for Your unfailing love and mercy. Thank You for being our strength and for never leaving our side. Forgive us for trying to figure things out without You at times and let us turn away from all fear. I ask You to anoint the medical people with Your Holy Spirit power. Give them wisdom for developing a vaccine and medicine to help eradicate the coronavirus. I ask You to bring a mighty medical breakthrough that will eliminate the spread of the virus. I pray in Christ’s name.

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5

 

A Prayer for Our Leaders

LORD,

Thank You for Your steadfast love. Thank You for restoring all that is broken and redeeming every difficult situation. I ask You to be with our government leaders and guide them in their decisions. Help them not to react in fear. Let them draw near to You to get wisdom and knowledge. Help all the leaders around the world to find strength in You during this time of trouble. I pray in Christ’s name. Amen.

For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:6

As followers of Christ, we are called to choose faith over fear and trust Him wholeheartedly to work in the midst of excruciating trials. May we all stand strong with faith-filled hearts and pray boldly for miracles to come forth in the days ahead.

BASKING IN CHRIST’S LOVE AND PRESENCE

The sun looked magnificent and glorious as I was driving alone and talking softly to the Lord. As I was approaching the top of a hill, I saw the most breathtaking view of the mountains in the distance. It was majestic.

I’ve always loved the mountains and enjoyed this route more times than I could count; however, this day was different than anytime before. The splendor in the sky and the beauty of the mountains surrounding me were mesmerizing. The awesome wonder of God’s creation captured every fiber of my being. Christ’s presence came to me so powerfully that it felt heavenly in an inexpressible way. As my worship music played in the background, the voice of the Lord whispered words to my heart.

My love for you is higher and wider and more magnificent than these beautiful mountains.

My heart melted in His presence. Heaven touched me and drew me close to the heart of God. I basked in His great love for the rest of my trip.

Christ’s presence is the greatest gift of life and nothing satisfies the soul like spending time with Him.

Some days, distractions can rob us of the quietness we need. It’s very easy to be in a big hurry and miss these spectacular God moments. We don’t have to be driving through gorgeous scenery to bask in God’s glory. We can commune with the maker of the heavens at any moment of the day.

The love of Christ beckons us to open our hearts to Him. Jesus is waiting for each one of us to stop what we’re doing and rest in His perfect love. Our relationship with our Savior is better than anything else in life. No amount of money or success could ever compare to what we have in Christ. He is everything.

In the busyness of life, remember to slow down. Be quiet. Bask in the most perfect love you’ll ever find and let Christ’s presence wash your burdens away.

Our Beloved Jesus,

Thank You for Your amazing love which surpasses our understanding. Let us be strengthened with power through Your Spirit and let Your glory permeate our lives every day. Let us be rooted and grounded in Your love. Help us to comprehend more of the depth of Your great love for us and let us rest in Your presence continually. We love You and pray in Your name, Christ. Amen.

“That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3: 16-19

A PRAYER FOR THE YOUNGER GENERATION

While reading through some of my writings today, I stumbled upon a prayer I had written in July of 2010. Nine years ago when I wrote this prayer, I could have never dreamed of what Christ would do in the lives of my children. As I was reading the prayer, I sensed the Lord leading me to share it on my blog (in an edited version). It’s a prayer that I hope will inspire other parents to continue praying for their children.

I am in awe of how God has done abundantly more than I could have ever asked for or imagined in my family (Ephesians 3:20). Now, my daughter and son are in their twenties and they are truly filled with the light of Christ. Their lives are a testament to the power of prayer and our family is an example of how Christ turns trials into triumphant victories as we live by faith.

After watching Christ work mightily in the lives of my son and daughter, I have a zealous desire in my heart to pray for the younger generation to be transformed through God’s power. Let us join together and pray for the youth in our communities to be the light of the world.

Let’s pray passionately that the youthful ones will be set free from destructive paths and be the ones that bring the greatest change in our world.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your love and grace. Pour out Your Spirit upon our lives and our family. Baptize each one of us with Your Holy Spirit in a powerful way. Help us to be good parents that love unconditionally and let us be everything You want for us to be in our children’s lives.

I ask You to meet every need of our children and hold them tightly in Your embrace. Help them to feel Your presence with them continually and heal every hurting place in their hearts. Give them the desire to live for You and to follow You all the days of their lives.

Let Your light shine brightly through our children and let them draw near to You each day. Let them be mighty warriors for Your kingdom and shining examples to all their friends. Help them to turn away from sin and stand up for what is right. Help them to always walk in the Spirit and live by faith.

Raise up our children to be the strong men and women of God they are called to be. Help them to stay focused on You and follow Your guiding voice every day. Let them be pure and blameless in Your sight. I trust You and pray in Christ’s name. Amen.

“Be faithful to pray as intercessors who are fully alert and giving thanks to God.”

Pray, trust, and wait on the Lord to do what only He can do.

PRAYER CHANGES LIVES

Prayer is like breathing and connects us to our lifeline—Jesus Christ. Prayer changes circumstances and changes lives. Prayer changes us from the inside out and makes every single day worth living because we are connecting with the creator of the universe.

Christ has all the answers to all of life’s problems. When you need strength, fall to your knees and say: “Lord, help me.” Draw near to Christ and release your concerns to Him. Pray without ceasing by surrendering your thoughts to Christ and seeking Him above everything else. Trust the Lord with all your heart and let prayer change your life.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being the anchor of our lives and giving us the breath in our lungs. Fill us up with more of Your Holy Spirit and empower us to be all You created us to be. Let us live as mighty men and women of prayer every day. Let us draw near to You continually and let us walk closely with You through our prayers. Woo us into Your arms and onto our knees throughout each day. Let us pray without ceasing and let us give thanks continually for all You’ve given us through Jesus Christ. I pray in Christ’s name. Amen.

A MEMORIAL DAY PRAYER

“Memorial Day” was established hundreds of years ago as a day to honor and remember the ones who have died in the United States Armed Forces. It’s a day to thank God for those who have given the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom. Our hearts are filled with gratitude for these brave souls.

Let’s pray and thank God for all the great men and women who have served and died while protecting our country.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the brave souls who have given the greatest sacrifice to protect our freedom. Help us to never forget the heroes of this country and help us remember the ones who lost their lives sacrificially. Please comfort those who have lost loved ones in the battlefields. Embrace the spouses and encourage the children who are missing their loved ones. Bless and protect the service men and women who are risking their lives to serve our country. Keep them in the shadow of Your wings today and always. We pray in Christ’s name. Amen.

THE JOY OF THANKSGIVING

We have so many spiritual blessings to be thankful for. Christ’s presence is everything. A relationship with Christ is the greatest gift any of us will ever have. He is the anchor that keeps us from sinking into the depths of darkness as we press into Him through prayer, worship, and by meditating on the Scriptures. Without Christ, there would be no hope or true life.

With Christ, we can find rest in our souls by surrendering our worries to Him. We truly have more than 10,000 reasons to sing Him praises.

Every day is a day to give thanks, because of Christ’s never-ending love for us. A heart that’s filled with thanks will always be a heart filled with joy.

May you rejoice in the gifts you’ve been given through Jesus Christ. He is with you and will never leave you or forsake you.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your never-ending mercy, grace, and kindness. Let us rejoice over the gift You have given us through Your son, Jesus Christ. Thank You for enabling us to live with an abundance of hope, joy, peace, and love. Let our gratitude flow from our hearts every day and let us always seek after that which is good. Help us share Your love every day and always do good to each other. Let us never stop praying and be thankful in all circumstances. We pray in Christ’s name. Amen.

“See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all people. Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”1 Thessalonians 5:15-18

A VETERANS DAY PRAYER

We can never thank our veterans enough for their service to our country. Let’s pray for our brave heroes and show them how greatly we appreciate their amazing sacrifices.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the brave heroes who sacrifice so greatly to protect our freedom. Please help us encourage those who have served sacrificially and let all veterans know our hearts are filled with gratitude. Help us to always show honor and appreciation for all they do for the United States. Protect the service men and women who are risking their lives to serve our country. Let them dwell in the shelter of the MOST HIGH and abide in the shadow of Your wings today and always. Let them rest in knowing You are their refuge and fortress every day. We pray in Christ’s name. Amen.
