THANKING GOD FOR AMERICA

On this 4th of July, I’m thanking God for America. And I’m praying for God’s hand to stay upon our nation.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for America. Thank You for birthing our nation 247 years ago. Thank You for blessing America in countless ways since 1776.

Today, I come to You with an expectant heart and pray for Your hand to stay upon America always. Bring down the powers and principalities that are fighting against Your plans for America. Protect the CHURCH from distractions in the coming days and help us continue to pray without ceasing.

Forgive us for any doubt or thoughts of unbelief we may have had in the past and give us more faith every day. Fill us with more of Your Holy Spirit and let us pray in agreement with Your heart for our country.

I trust You to bring forth Your will for our nation in Your perfect timing. I rejoice in knowing that a spiritual awakening is happening now and Your plans for America will be established as Your people pray.

Pour out Your Spirit in an unprecedented way this summer and in the months ahead. I trust You to bring a movement of Your Holy Spirit so powerful that millions of people will turn from their wicked ways and be saved. I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

A PRAYER & WORDS OF HOPE FOR AMERICA

Many years ago, I began feeling very burdened in my spirit for America and the direction it was heading. I sensed the only answer to our problems would be a great movement of God—a true revival and spiritual awakening in the lives of multitudes of people. In 2010 as I was praying, I began to envision a map of the United States with flames around it and bright light coming out of it. As I envisioned the flames of fire around the map of America, I sensed great difficulties were coming to our nation. Along with the coming trials, I believe the flames in my vision were a symbol of the Holy Spirit consuming millions of souls and drawing them into the kingdom of God.

While I envisioned bright light coming out of America, I realized the image in my mind symbolized the church in the fullness of Christ’s light.

Matthew 5:14 (NASB) says: “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”

After I sought the Lord in that season, I began sensing that the U.S. is called to be the light of the world.

The thought of our country being the light of the world brought so much excitement to my soul. It gave me a fiery passion to pray for an outpouring of God’s Spirit that would change the atmosphere of America and ultimately impact the world with Christ’s glory and light.

I believe wholeheartedly that God will pour out His Spirit in a greater way than ever before. I believe there is a remnant of God’s people who are fully prepared for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and they will be used to release the glory of God into the earth realm. However, the believers in Christ who have not fully yielded to Him will be undergoing more refinement. The Lord will sit as a refiner and purifier of His CHURCH so that she will be filled with His righteousness (Malachi 3:3). In God’s perfect timing, a true movement of repentance and restoration will begin in America which will bring genuine change to cities.

America will be filled with God’s glory if we pray and partner with Christ to see His kingdom come and His will be done on EARTH as it is in HEAVEN.

I can imagine Jesus lovingly shouting: “Rise up, CHURCH, and shine in the darkness. Pray fervently for change in America.”

Let’s pray more passionately than ever to see Christ’s will come forth for the United States.

On this National Day of Prayer, I feel led to share a prayer (video) I recorded in 2018. I prayed for America as I stood on a mountain while the sun was going down. I love how the wind was blowing as I was praying. Please pray along with me and trust our HEAVENLY FATHER to do mighty things in our country.

REMEMBERING 9/11/01 & PRAYING FOR AMERICA

Americans will forever remember September 11, 2001. Nearly 3,000 lives were lost in the horrific attacks by terrorists. On this 20th anniversary of that devastating day, I’ve been praying and pondering the memories of the tragedy.

My prayer is that the believers in Christ will unite and pray in unity for God to protect our country and other nations from these evil acts of terror.

Jesus Christ is the world’s only hope. The terrorists need the salvation of Jesus. Every human on the face of the earth needs to encounter Christ and be saved.

Let’s pray continually for America and pray passionately for a worldwide revival that will bring forth the salvation of billions of souls around the world.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your never-ending mercy and grace. Help us to never forget the heroes of this country and let us remember the ones who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

Bless and comfort those who are mourning. Bring healing to the ones who have been deeply traumatized.

Protect America from future acts of terrorism and keep Your hand upon our country. Help Americans to be a strong group of united people and let us be an undivided nation. Strengthen us and empower us to walk in unity with one another.

Let the CHURCH in America turn away from complacency and return to You wholeheartedly. Help all of God’s people to pray consistently for the nations of the world to be protected from terrorists. Help us stand boldly in faith and trust You to restore our nation.

Bring forth the most powerful prayer movement and revival that the world has ever seen. Let billions of people be saved around the world in the months and years ahead. I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

3 PRAYERS FOR OUR NATION AND WORLD

Many people seem to be filled with distress and anxiety as they face the reality of what is happening in America and around the world. Without a doubt, our world is in need of fervent and consistent prayer. There is nothing more important than prayer in the life of a follower of Christ. Our prayers birth God’s promises and help bring forth His will. As we pray, we are partnering with Christ to help build His kingdom on the earth.

Recently, I have witnessed God’s people praying more consistently and passionately than ever before. I have been in awe as I’ve watched the church arise. A portion of the body of Christ has been fully awakened and has begun praying with tremendous fervency. I believe a remnant of the worldwide church has risen up and we are all praying in unison. It is so beautiful and surreal to watch the end time army in action. With a heart of gratitude for answered prayers, I weep tears of joy every time I witness the body of Christ coming together to pray.

In the midst of the chaos that’s happening, Jesus is the world’s only hope.

Let’s continue to pray for each one of our countries, our cities, and the leaders of the world.

A Prayer for God-Appointed Leaders

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the good plans and vision You have for our nation. We are asking You to keep Your hand firmly placed upon our country. Heal our land and let our nation be filled with Your glory and light. I trust You to turn things around in our cities and let Your chosen ones be elected as our leaders. We believe it is Your desire for us to elect leaders who will support Israel and support our values. We are grateful our nation was founded upon Your truth, and we are asking You to appoint the leaders who will help support the foundation of our biblical principles. We know that it is You alone who can do miracles, and we trust You to carry our nation out of the darkness and into Your marvelous light. We pray in Christ’s name. Amen.

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV)

A Prayer for Peace to Cover Our Cities

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being our peace-giver. We know that You are watching our world from above and You can see the turmoil that is happening. We are asking You to cover our cities with Your peace and we trust You to bring an end to the violence in our neighborhoods during the days ahead. We are decreeing the blood of Jesus Christ over our nation and asking You to protect our cities from devastation or destruction. Keep Your hand upon our nation and bring salvation to millions of souls and let our communities be filled with songs of praise. Let the body of Christ continue to arise in fervent prayer until we see Your kingdom come and Your will be done on the earth as it is in HEAVEN. We pray in Christ’s name. Amen.

“Violence will not be heard again in your land, nor devastation or destruction within your borders; but you will call your walls salvation, and your gates praise.”

Isaiah 60:18

A Prayer for Unity in the Worldwide Church

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving us with an everlasting love and for filling us with eternal peace and joy. Let a spirit of unity fall upon the church to replace a spirit of dissension. Let God’s people walk in love toward each other and walk in authority all over the earth. Let us, the body of Christ, keep our eyes continually fixed upon You and help us carry out the great commission. Let us be humble and gentle with one another and let the fruit of the Spirit grow daily in each of our lives. Help us to walk in the truth continually and let us pray for those who do not know the truth. Clothe us in humility and let our love for one another be what draws lost souls into Your kingdom. Bring perfect unity in the body of Christ and let every member of Your church put away childish differences and truly begin to serve You with one heart and one mouth.  Above all, let us love You with all our heart, soul, strength, and mind, and let us love our neighbor as ourselves. We love You and we are eagerly waiting for Your return. We pray in Christ’s name. Amen.

“Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another, according to Christ Jesus, so that with one purpose and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Romans 15:5-6

May Christ bless you and keep you in the shadow of His wings.

A PRAYER FOR AMERICA

As we celebrate “Independence Day” in America, let us pray passionately for God’s plans to come forth for the United States.

Even though there is turmoil happening in America, I know that God has not given up on us and He has great plans for this nation. I feel led by Christ to share a prayer that I wrote years ago.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your amazing grace and mercy. We come to You and humbly ask that You keep Your hand on this nation. We are sorry for leaving You out of our decision making so many times. We realize that our country is in danger and we need You desperately to intervene. Let us turn away from all that draws us away from Your love and return to You wholeheartedly. Let us be unified and walk with brotherly love toward one another.

I believe it is Your desire to see this nation thrive and be restored. Let us rise up and be the nation that You always dreamed we would be. Let us show those around us that You are compassionate and abounding in love. Raise our country into a mighty nation and let us be a bright light in the world. Let us live for You purposefully and passionately. We ask You to protect us from calamity. We trust You to do great and mighty things in this nation. We ask You to continue blessing America and let us be a blessing to all nations of the earth. We love You and place our hope in You alone. We pray in Christ’s name. Amen.

HAPPY 4th of JULY!

A PRAYER FOR AMERICA AND THE MIDTERM ELECTIONS

As my husband and I stood in line for early voting, we could feel the tension in the environment. We smiled and talked to people in the line to relieve the nervousness of those around us. We had good conversations and it felt as though most of us were unified in the fact that we simply desire to have peace in our country.

Peace will be our portion if we stay anchored to our beloved Christ. As His followers, we have never-ending hope as the anchor of our souls (Hebrews 6:19). Hope will continue to arise from the hearts of those who are clinging to Christ and holding onto His promises in the Bible.

For years, I have strongly sensed in my spirit that the U.S. is called to be a bright light in the world—a country filled with hope because of Jesus Christ. Although things may appear worse before they get better, I truly believe God is going to turn this nation around in due time.

In my heart, I hear Christ lovingly shouting from HEAVEN: “Rise up, CHURCH, and shine in the darkness. Pray fervently for change in America.”

We are all meant to be mighty warriors for God’s kingdom. We are called to pray that His kingdom will come and His will be done on EARTH as it is in HEAVEN (Matthew 6:9-13).

Our collective prayers are more important for America’s future than any of us can imagine. Will you please join me in praying for God’s perfect will to come forth in America?

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the vision You have for the United States. Thank You for reviving the hearts of Your people in America. We sing praises to You for the spiritual awakening that is beginning to take shape in our nation. Please keep Your hand firmly placed upon our country and heal our land completely in the years ahead. Please turn things around in our cities and let Your chosen ones be elected to office during the midterm elections being held this week. Let America be a holy nation, a chosen generation of people who will proclaim the praises of Your goodness, and live as light-bearers in a dark world. We know that it is You alone who can bring change and we trust You to carry our nation out of the darkness and into Your marvelous light. We pray in Christ’s name. Amen.

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” 1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV)

May the grace and peace of our Lord be with you.
